I have a confession to make. I am an addict. It is a full-blown addiction and nearly out of control. It is something that has been going on for about two years now. I admit it. I am addicted to Classpass. I have never been one of...

Every year, for the past three years, I would gather all my girlfriends and celebrate my birthday in a very special way. We would go through our closets, take out clothes that we love but no longer wear, shoes that we never use, and handbags gathering dust.  Espousing organizational guru and "tidying-up" philosopher, Marie Kondo, we endeavored to spark joy by releasing ourselves from the bindings of our stuff. We pack these up and take them to Lotus House Thrift Chic Boutique.
A lot of people have asked for recommendations regarding skincare products. With my job in Cosmetic Dermatology, I am fortunate enough to be able to get and try different skincare products. In Part 1, I will be discussing the best facial cleansers, toners, moisturizers, and sunscreens. Here are a few of my faves:
2017 was a roller-coaster ride of a year: went to Cuba for the 4th time, got hit by an Uber driver, established a 110 gallon saltwater fish tank, incurred property damage from Hurricane Irma, visited Paris and went on a road trip through Morocco, went back up on aerial silks after a loooong hiatus, got to meet the most adorable baby in the world; my new nephew Haru, witnessed one of my best friends and my brother-in-law get married after I introduced them 5 years ago, lost a friend who passed away unexpectedly, and celebrated my 17th year wedding anniversary and the end of 2017 in Mexico City. As we say hello to 2018, I look to the past and the future to generate my 2018 goals and resolutions.
The answer is----super easy. Less than 200 miles away from the sunny beaches of Miami Beach, is an even sunnier, prettier, and friendlier island. Cuba has always been the forbidden fruit to most Americans, but with travel restrictions being less stringent since the 1960s, travel to Cuba is no longer a complicated undertaking. Here's what you need to do:
When you work at one of the premier cosmetic dermatology practices in the country (and likely the world), the perks are simply amazing! We had a beauty day at work a few days ago and it was a ton of fun! All of the girls were able to enjoy a mini-facial using PCA products, be given on-fleek eyebrows by Diane, bask in a make-up session by Jane Iredale make-up guru, Effie, get our hair did, and receive a ton of beauty giveaways.
Yes! It's that time of the year again. My favorite season is here. Time for bikinis, summer dresses, and tiny shorts. We kinda wear that almost year-round here in Miami, but it gives us South Floridians another excuse to dare to bare. I am very excited about the fashion trends this season! Not only because the inspirations for Spring/Summer 2016 fashion trends are eclectic, fun, and wearable, but the designers have gleaned influences that are highly representative of one of my favorite decades--- the 90s.
